Goodwill Houston Receives Awards in Communications

Nov 9, 2018 | News Press

Goodwill Houston’s Public Relations Department has once again brought home two Silver Quill trophies from the Southern Region Conference of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). “I continue to be very proud of our Public Relations Department. It’s great to see them recognized for their exceptionally good work,“ said Steve Lufburrow, Goodwill Houston’s President & CEO.

The Silver Quill Awards recognize excellence in business communications and are presented to outstanding professionals who have proven that their communications projects effectively further the goals of their organizations. Entries in this competition are judged against a set of global standards and best practices, by a panel of peer judges from around the world.

Goodwill’s 2017 Annual Report received the IABC Award of Merit, and the 2017 Corporate Video won the coveted Award of Excellence. “I am so happy that we have once again received accolades from our peers. People who do what we do have reviewed our work and given it the highest marks. My team continues to perform at the highest level, and I am proud of them and our work together,” said Kym King, VP of Public Relations and Community Engagement at Goodwill Houston.
