While Goodwill is considered one of Houston’s leading non-profit organizations, we also run one of Houston’s largest retail operations. As we begin 2019, we have more than 100 locations – 62 retail stores and 43 stand-alone donation centers – throughout Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, Brazoria, Washington, and Montgomery Counties. Our retail business creates local jobs and is the economic engine that fuels our real mission which is Changing Lives through the Power of Work.

Established in 1945, through the vision and inspiration of W.C. Morris, Sr. and the Rotary Club of Houston, Goodwill Industries of Houston originally opened its doors to serve people with physical disabilities. Over the years, our programs and services have expanded to meet the changing needs of Houston and its surrounding communities. Today, through our job connection service centers and many grant-funded programs, we provide job training and placement services to people with barriers to employment. This includes veterans, older workers, youth, the formerly incarcerated and, of course, individuals with disabilities.

We are so proud of the impact we have had on our great city and look forward to continued great things in the future.
