Apr 1, 2026 | News Press

HOUSTON, TX — April 1, 2026 — Goodwill Houston, in partnership with Project Prom Promise, successfully hosted “A Night on the Red Carpet,” an unforgettable event dedicated to empowering local students with confidence, resources, and style ahead of prom season.

The event brought together community members, volunteers, and partners to create a celebratory and supportive environment where students could access formalwear, styling assistance, and encouragement as they prepared for one of the most memorable milestones of their high school experience. The evening also featured a high- energy red-carpet fashion show, where models displayed a variety of prom attire, giving students the opportunity to see distinctive styles and select looks that best fit their personality and preferences.

Designed to remove financial barriers and promote self-confidence, A Night on the Red Carpet provided students with access to free prom attire, including dresses, suits, and accessories, many sourced through community donations to Goodwill Houston.

The collaboration exemplifies Goodwill Houston’s ongoing mission to support individuals and families through education, career pathway training, and community-based initiatives. By connecting donated goods to meaningful programs, events like this demonstrate the direct impact of community giving.

From the excitement of the fashion show finale to receiving stylish formal attire and accessories, students walked away with renewed confidence, a sense of belonging, and the support of a community invested in their success, bringing the missions of Goodwill Houston and Project Prom Promise to life in a meaningful and lasting way.
