While still working as an engineer, Jim Midkiff was looking for a part-time position to supplement his income but what he found at Goodwill turned into a fulfilling full-time career. Stepping into the role of instructor, Jim discovered a newfound passion for teaching and mentoring. His compassion for his students shines through in his dedication and the meaningful results they achieve. He brings the same focus and problem-solving skills from his engineering background into the classroom, but it’s his patience and empathy that truly make an impact.
Jim often says, “Their story is my story,” a reflection of the deep connection he feels with his students and their journeys. Despite facing personal battles of his own, he has never wavered in his commitment to give his all to his work and those he teaches. His resilience and compassion inspire everyone around him, and through every class, Jim continues to pay it forward while transforming lives one student at a time.
