Apartment Maintenance Program

The Texas Apartment Association Education Foundation (TAAEF) has partnered with Goodwill to offer Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician training for individuals new to the apartment industry.

Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP)

The program provides employment services to homeless veterans with a focus on serving those that were recently incarcerated.

GoodJobs (OGJ) Operation

GoodJobs assists veterans and their family with job training and placement services with individualized holistic plans to help each participant succeed. The plan serves not only veterans but direct family members with the goal of achieving job placement, retention and long-term financial stability.

Veterans’ Employment and Training Services

Provides employment services to veterans who do not qualify for grant-funded programs. The program has a special emphasis on veterans transitioning from incarceration.

Right Turn

This program provides individualized education, training, and job opportunities by engaging young people that are involved with or at risk of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system. Participants meet regularly with program staff, mentors, and other caring adults to develop and implement career development plans.

Community Rehabilitative Services (CRS)

This program serves persons with documented disabilities and receives referrals from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Vocational Rehabilitative Services, and the Social Security Administration for the Ticket to Work Program. Participants meet regularly to access work assessments, job readiness training, and employment services.

Provides employment and housing services to individuals with HIV/AIDS and their families.

United Way THRIVE

United Way THRIVE, a collaborative launched with and led by United Way of Greater Houston, provides families with the resources and services they need to reach real and lasting financial independence. United Way THRIVE helps families build stronger financial futures by acquiring skills and education, obtaining better jobs, developing good financial habits and building savings.

Computer skills are increasingly essential for well-paying, in-demand careers in the US. This program allows job seekers to build their digital skills, from learning the basics to earning credentials and certifications. The program equips people to advance their careers and improve their lives

This five-course certificate, developed by Google®, is designed to prepare participants for an entry-level role in IT support. A job in IT can mean in-person or remote help desk work in a small business or at a global company like Google®.
