VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Through our volunteer program, we offer fun, hands-on opportunities to get involved and make a meaningful impact in the Houston community. Whether you are an individual interested in getting more involved in the community or a group looking to work together and make a difference, Goodwill Houston has an opportunity for you!
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out a volunteer application and email it to Volunteer@goodwillhouston.org or fax it to 713-699-6307.
Once your volunteer application is received, you will receive confirmation via telephone or email that you are approved to volunteer. There are 37 retail locations in and around the Houston area (Store locations), the proceeds from these stores help fund Goodwill’s employment and training programs.
Volunteers are always needed in the production and donation areas of our retail stores. Duties include; receiving and sorting donations, processing and displaying merchandise, and representing Goodwill through customer service. We also have volunteer opportunities available through our Workforce Development programs.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer on their own. Volunteers between 12-16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Court Ordered Community Service Restitution volunteers:
Goodwill offers a program for individuals to complete their court-ordered community service hours at any Goodwill retail store. Please do not fill out a volunteer application! To schedule your community service, please contact 713-699-6336 for more information.
