In Sugar Land, employment for veterans is a priority for us here at Goodwill Industries of Houston. Returning military service members have been leaders on the battlefield and here on the homefront. They have also learned a number of valuable skills. However, they too often have difficulty finding civilian jobs.

At Goodwill, our mission is to help people who have been out of the job market or have had difficulty finding work acquire the skills they need to find employment. For veterans in Sugar Land TX, that may mean learning how to put together a resume and successfully convey to employers in interviews how their military service can successfully translate to employment in the private sector.

We provide opportunities for nonprofit employment in Sugarland TX for veterans and others re-entering the job force or entering it for the first time. Goodwill Industries of Houston directly employs about 2,000 people. We’re proud to have been recognized for serving post-9/11 vets by the George W. Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative for our efforts in getting Sugar Land employment for veterans.
